Preparing To Leave

Hey there,

As it turned out life is pretty busy when you have a baby : ). Though I'm not complaining, Amy is a good baby. She started to sleep through the night when she was 5 weeks old. She is a cute little darling. She is very easy to please : ). She started to look at people and make eye contact. She rarely smiles but when she does, I melt immediately. We went to the 6 weeks check-up the other day and the doctor said that she is a healthy little baby! She grew a lot, she is over 6 pounds now!

My family loves her so much and finally after 6 weeks we can go outside! So everyday we go for short walks. The weather is beautiful and she enjoys being outside of the house. She usually falls asleep as soon as I start pushing the stroller. : )

Meanwhile Chris is working hard (as always). He has a lot on his plate these days. He is translating 4-5 hours a day and he is also working on videos for Word of Life, and other multimedia related things. He is very busy and very tired. But he is doing great! Amy loves him (at least as much as I can tell) and Chris loves to play with her. I cannot wait for Amy to be able to talk and Chris to start teaching her all the stuff he knows. She will be a smart little lady!

We are also preparing the documents we need to start my Green Card application and Amy's citizenship application. My Green Card should go just fine but Amy's citizenship is one of the most complicated forms Immigration Office has. Many of their own workers don't know much about it.

Chris can't directly transfer his citizenship to Amy due to the fact that he didn't spend enough time in the States after his 14th birthday. So we can apply for Amy's citizenship through her grandparents. It's a complicated and long process but I looked into it and it's doable : ).

It's an interesting time of our lives as we prepare to put an end to one part of our lives as we leave Word of Life and start a new part in the States. We definitely have bitter-sweet emotions about it. Word of Life is a big part of our lives and it will always be. We have so many friends here and it will be weird not being around them.

Also, most importantly my family is here. I'm gonna miss them so much! I wish they could all come with us!
