6 Months Old!

April 9th, the legal wedding
Both baby and us! I can't believe it's been really half a year already!

I started my 7th month on November 28th. The baby is constantly moving and now you can see it from the outside as well! Sometimes I just look at my belly for minutes and watch her move around. I really enjoy it.

November 13, my last Bible Club
After 2 and a half years I attended the last Bible Club (at least as the organizer). It was an awesome time but it really made me miss it even more. Many kids showed up and my dear coworker, Zoli was preaching. He did a great job! I'm gonna miss organizing the clubs, meeting the campers and summer staff on a regular base.

I called the US embassy not long ago and I just learned that the cost of my green card will be $900. So would you please pray for that money to come in for that specific purpose? If you are willing to help with it, let us know and we can tell you how you can help.
Also, please keep on praying for Chris' support to come in. WOL Hungary really needs the money they spend on feeding him : D. Please prayerfully consider helping us in that way.

All the interns (Christmas banquet)
We had our annual Christmas banquet at WOL on December 4th. It was a great privilege to be part of it! I was helping the guests to find their seats and Chris was in the sound room. We had a great time!

A day after we (interns) were invited to the Maters and had an awesome time together. We played White Elephant and watched Elf. I'm so thankful for all the interns and the Maters as they prepare fellowships for us so often! It's great to be together!

Interns fellowship at the Maters
We are so thankful to God for always providing. He promised to meet our needs and we know we can trust His promises!
We just had a Thanksgiving chapel the other Tuesday (November 23rd), and Chris emphasized how we can already give thanks to God for His future provision since we can be sure that He is going to provide! Isn't that incredible? We can know for sure that God is going to meet our needs! Praise Him for that!

We are both very thankful for so many things this year as well. We got married, started our lives together, our first baby is on the way, we are surrounded by friends who we consider our family, Chris is translating in the Bible School which means he can attend classes again, our family loves us and cares for us, and the list could go on...

25 weeks pregnant
We are very thankful that we can spend some time with my family before we leave to the States. I love spending time with them! I'm gonna most definitely miss them this Christmas!

27 weeks pregnant
I had doctor's appointment on December 6, 7 and 8. Everything is totally fine! Both baby and I had the best results! Praise the Lord! (More about this in the next post.)

My parent's 25th wedding anniversary is on December 13th and we leave for 3 weeks (going to see Chris' parents) on the 14th. So this year is going to end as usual: busy. : )

Let us know how we can pray for you! Don't forget how important prayer is!

God bless you!

And Life Barrels On Like A Runaway Train...

Hey there!

I (Chris) will cover the more ministry-related stuff here, and let Lili fill in the personal things further on down! (Like whether it's a boy or a girl... :o)

So, since I last wrote, the new year has started at the BI!
With 35 students, the student body has 12 countries represented! How exciting it will be, when they will be able to take the training they received here, and apply it in the ministry in their respective homes! Of course, they are able to apply it while at school as well, since an integral part of the program involves weekend ministries.

Thankfully, we are able to be a part of that to some degree! During the first week of school, all the staff and students went out for 2 days of evangelism on the streets of Budapest! An unprecedented 60 people professed faith in Christ as a result of this! It is amazing how God uses us, when we are willing!

The weekend after that, Word of Life hosted an International Youth Leaders Conference, where many young people from several countries dedicated their lives to Christ! My mother and a few classmates from Bible School also came to the conference. It was very good to see them again. (Also, Chris had the privilege to design the poster for the event, which you can see on the right.) -Lili

Then the first Sunday of October, Lili and I had the privilege to go minister with the Sing Team at an evangelistic meeting in a small church in NE Hungary. I sang with the team just this once, and Lili shared her testimony.

Meanwhile I have been translating in the Bible School for both first- and second year classes (though not at the same time... :o), as well as continuing my A/V and multimedia responsibilities!

Please pray for an upcoming performance of our Born Again to a Living Hope drama, I will be going to assist with the technical side of things this upcoming week.

------------------------------------

Hey there, it's me (Lili). I try to do everything according to what Chris tells me to do, so I got permission from him to also share my ministry opportunities alongside the personal stuff : ).

Has it really been two months since we last shared? On one hand it seemed like a week, on the other hand it seemed like a year... : )

Well, let's see what happened. Chris and I are working on the camp's website (you can see a picture of the banner on the left) and hope it's going to be up soon.

I also organize the Bible Clubs for the campers and summer staff and we already had our first one! 15 people came plus 9 people from Word of Life. We had a lot of fun and Laci was teaching us about how to share our testimonies. It was a great lesson and I cannot wait for the next club where we are going to here from Zoli, a Bible School graduate and a camp intern, about our Quiet time.

Chris' parents surprised us with a plane ticket to the States for Christmas! Becky (Chris' sister), Chris and I are going to go for 3 weeks. I'm looking forward to it so much! Also, it seems like we are going to have a Word of Life reunion as well! God is so gracious to us! So many blessings at once!

Our dear friend, Timi Tanyi had her farewell party on October 10th. She is currently serving at Word of Life South Africa and will come back a few days before camp starts here. She and I are really close friends and it's very different without her. Though she is doing well which obviously makes me happy. She also has a blog where you can see what's going on with her, if you are interested, don't hesitate to check it out: http://timeatanyi.blogspot.com/

Oh, and the baby : ). She (yes, it's a she!!!!) is moving all the time. She is over 7 inches long (HC) and weights more than 11 ounces. Honestly, I cannot wait to finally meet her in person. We don't know her name yet, but we are thinking about it.
The last time I had my ultrasound, the doctor showed her to me in 3D. I have to tell you she is gorgeous already : ).

As you may know, we are planning on going to the States after this school year (around August) to finish our studies. Please keep us in your prayers as we decide where exactly we would like to go, what exactly we would like to study. Another prayer request would be a job for Chris as we get to the States as well as a house we can stay at. : )

God bless you all!

-----------------------------------
We want to thank all of you who have supported us by praying and through financial means!
Please continue to pray, and pray that God would send people to support us for this year.
We received about %20 of the support budget for last year, but since this is the start of a new year, whatever comes in first would go towards my health insurance, and then towards meeting the cost of WOL Hungary for me to eat here. We ask that you would prayerfully consider supporting this ministry in this way!

Camp Season and the Next Generation

Hey everybody, Chris here!

It has been a while, what shall I start with?
The next generation of the James gang is on the way!
That's right, Lili is pregnant, and I am going to be a daddy! :o)
(S)he is due to take their first breath on March 8, 2011.

Please be in prayer for good health for both of them!

As for what happened this summer, well Lili already wrote the exciting stats down below (it was a great year with lots of campers), and while I was not involved directly with the campers as last year, it was still a great time! I was part of the sing team, did special musics, some weeks I made the camp video, others I took photos and ran sound, while one week I helped lead the singing and played guitar. (It might sound busy, but it was more than manageable, and our camp room leaders deserve the credit for taking a lion's share in making this camp possible!)

Check out a video from one of our weeks, our theme this summer was superheroes (and stay tuned to the end, to see what theme next year's camp will have!):

The next year is starting soon, with new students! (Praise God for 8 Hungarian young men who are coming to study the Word of God!) Pray for the incoming class, as there are still some students waiting for visa issues to be solved!

It also means that we need to raise support for this year, and while I am not sure what the budget is, I do know that last years budget was not met, not even enough to cover WOL's cost to feed me :o) (Sometimes I eat a lot!! :o))
So please consider partnering with us in that way, either through a one-time gift, or monthly support. I know it's a rough world out there right now, but every little bit counts!

Have a great day people!
Lili, is there anything you wanted to say? Oh, you mean you already wrote it... okay, then I'll stop talking... :o)

********************************
Hey there, so it's me (as in Lili) now! : )

Wow. The past two months have been very special, busy and awesome!

We started camp on June 27th and the last day of camp was August 14th. We had 825 campers, over 230 salvation decisions were made, we had more than a hundred flood victims who came for free. So many people supported us in prayers and many gave a lot of money so that more campers could come. This was my 8th summer here at WOL (out of which I spent 4 full summers here) and I can say with confidence that this was the best so far!

I was the jokers' coordinator this summer. Jokers are those summer volunteers who are not working with the campers directly, but are helping the whole camp go smooth. Like the worship team, kitchen workers, coaches, translators, maintenance people, etc. I made their schedule for the week and told them who their work leader is going to be. Some weeks we had over 30 jokers.

It's always weird to me when I can't be with the campers so much since I loved to be a counselor and I know so many of them. Each year as they come back and I see them grow and mature, I thank God I had a chance to be with them for a week and get to know them. It's really amazing to see how they walk with God and how God is changing them so much. I only see them summer time (unless they come to the Bible clubs during the year) so it's a lot of change.

Tuesday nights are my favorite. When I see all those hands raised and the tears in their eyes... I was one of them 8 years ago. It's really an honor that God shows us part of His work right away.

Each week I made 2 to 4 interviews with campers who made a decision to follow Christ that week. Their testimonies are amazing. Let me share with you one.

Tímea (10 years old)

This is my first time here at camp. My parents don’t belive in God, but as soon as I get home, I want to talk about Him to them. We don’t talk about faith or God at home at all. I understood that Jesus died for my sins and that He rose again on the third day. I’m very glad that I could learn this and so much more. I enjoyed being here, and I would like to come back next year. I heard many new things about God, and I cannot wait to share it with others!

She was sooo enthusiastic. Oh my... It was really amazing to see her eyes full of joy. She was so excited to go home and tell all about what she had heard to her parents!

This is why we are here. To tell the campers about our Savior and so that they can go out and share their faith with others as well.

My niece and my mom came for a week too! It was very good to be able to see them and spend a week with them. I love them so much!

One of my really close friends got married on July 31st! Both Chris and I were in the wedding, I was one of the bride's maids and Chris sang at the wedding. We were and are very excited for Sanyi and Regi! Regi is the one who talked to me about WOL and who took me to the camp where I got saved. We've known each other for over 8 years now. You can see all the bride's maids on the picture. We were all classmates in High School. Out of the 5 of us (including Regi, the bride) 3 of us are married now. : )

Well, we have another news to share... Becky is going to be an aunt! : ) Or as Chris would say: The next generation of the James' is on its way.

I got pregnant on our honeymoon and I just started my 4th month. God blessed us with this baby and we are very thankful to Him. Please keep us in your prayers! It is a beautiful thing but we definitely need wisdom.

I'm so excited about this new state in our lives and so happy that we can share it with others! We told our close family first and they are very happy too!

Our plans haven't changed because of the new member of our family, we still plan to stay for one more year at WOL and then go to the States to finish school after which we are planning on going to a closed country as missionaries.

Well, that's all for now! Hopefully you will hear about us soon enough!

God bless you all!

Back from the Honeymoon

Dear friends,

Chris and I got married on May 22nd! It was no doubt the second best day of my life (first being the day I got saved...). Dave James, Chris' dad married us, it was very emotional.
We really enjoyed the wedding and loved to meet with so many of you and have the chance to also talk to you.
After the wedding we went to Tunisia for 3 weeks. We had beautiful weather and an awesome time together. It was so cool to realize it's not weird to either of us that we live together from this time on. We loved to be inseparable 24/7 for those 3 weeks.

Married life treats us well so far. : ) It is amazing to go to sleep with Chris being there and get up and see his face : ). I think that's what I enjoy the most! No shocks so far, nothing surprised us about the other person. We love each other deeply and are happy to be married! God is soo good to us. I also enjoy having QTs with Chris. His knowledge is so great. I love to discuss biblical truth with him and realize how I was thinking about some things wrong. God is most definitely teaching me a lot through him. What a journey we are looking forward to! Exciting!

We moved into our new house on the 16th! That was the day we came home from our honeymoon and it was late at night when we finally got to Tóalmás. Chris picked me up and carried me in the house, therefore we "stepped in together" : ). The Deli's were waiting for us with warm supper and candle light. We were thrilled to see how homey they made our home! We love it! (We rent the house from the Deli's.) We will take some pictures of it and post it here. Also, Timi Tanyi decorated the whole house while we were packing our things the day after that. It looks very nice! Cannot wait to have guests and fellowships there!

Unfortunately my aunt died while we were in Tunisia, and we attended the funeral this past Friday. We loved her dearly and are very sad she passed away.

Now, that we are back, Chris and I started to work. There's a lot to do before camp starts, which will be next Saturday. I'm the jokers' coordinator, which means I schedule their work hours and hopefully help them in whatever they need help in. Chris will be doing many things during camp season, as usual : ). I love to see him running around the place all the time : ), it makes me smile.

Please pray for wisdom for both Chris and I. We need to figure where we should go after next year.
As for this coming school year, we decided to stay as interns for one more year. I would continue to be a part of the Camp Team and Chris would be part of the Multimedia Department and translate in the Bible Institute, as he was this year as well.

We really appreciate you reading our updates! Feel free to leave comments! We would love to hear what's going on in your life as well!

God bless!
Lili, in the name of the James family : )
